Raymour & Flanigan’s Springtime Bedroom Design Inspired by Instagram

April 12, 2018 |  Posted By: King Koil

Spring is in the air and it’s time to welcome the florals, bright colors and longer days into your home! Many of us will start our spring cleaning by washing away those winter cobwebs and giving our homes a clean slate for the new season. The bedroom is the perfect space to start your spring renewal. Here at King Koil, we know the value of a great night’s rest, and how important your bedroom is in creating a restful environment. Your bedroom is where you set the tone for your day each morning, and it’s your own personal haven to relax as the day winds down. Your bedroom environment can have a major impact on your quality of sleep, stress levels and energy throughout the day.

For this post, King Koil teamed up with Raymour & Flanigan once again, to bring you some of our favorite spring bedroom ideas, all inspired by Instagram. We hope these fresh looks will provide some inspiration to breathe new life into your bedroom decor this spring!

IT ALL STARTS WITH THE BED.

If you’re thinking about upgrading your bed, spring is the perfect time to find the right fit for your comfort and style. As the weather warms up and the sun stays out longer, chances are your social schedule will fill up quicker than ever! We tend to stay out later and have longer days as we emerge from the darker winter months. Finding your perfect sleep and creating a space where you feel calm and centered is a must during the more active spring months. Make sure your mattress is up to par and lends itself to the best quality shut-eye possible. Whether you’re looking for a firm or plush mattress, find the perfect fit that suits your body and your comfort.

SHED THE WINTER LAYERS.

Once you find your perfect bed, it’s time to trade in your winter flannels for some cool cotton bedding. Add in some throw pillows to tie your bed together and make it a space you can look forward to returning to after the sun sets. Spring can also be a great time to update your color scheme. If you’ve been thinking about switching it up, consider the addition of a fresh coat of paint in your room. Neutrals and light pastels provide a great canvas for a wide range of bedroom styles, while bold colors make a statement and go great with more minimal bedroom setups.

MAKE YOUR BEDROOM BLOOM.

Fresh flowers can really make your bedroom bloom for springtime. Bring the outdoors inside with fresh bouquets and floral arrangements. Whether it’s on your nightstand, dresser or windowsill, having flowers in the room is a great way to brighten up your space and serve as a reminder that spring has arrived. Play with color palettes and add some brightly colored bouquets that can add a pop of color to a more neutral space. If fresh flowers aren’t your thing, adding some greenery with new plants is also a great way to bring the fresh air inside. Indoor plants have many benefits including purifying the air and enhancing your mood. Welcoming natural elements into your space is a great way to connect with the season and a simple step to boost the energy in your bedroom.

UPGRADE YOUR FURNITURE TO CREATE A FUNCTIONAL SPACE.

If space is limited or your bedroom is on the smaller side, look for ways to rearrange or update furniture to promote functionality. We love this new setup by Instagram user teresalaucar, who swapped her nightstand for a low profile mini desk that doubles as her vanity. If you have furniture that seems to be taking up space and collecting clutter, rethink how you can make better use of that area. Swap out bulky pieces for more minimal accents, or upgrade your outdated furniture for a look that’s more sleek and modern. Creating a balance of furniture that is both useful and beautiful will help create a calm and inviting atmosphere. Play around with accents like colorful rugs, textured benches and mounted mirrors that complement your new space.

INCORPORATE HANDMADE CREATIONS.

While you’re preparing for the season, take the opportunity to let your space reflect your personal style. Whether you have a friend who’s an amateur craftsman, or you’re trying your hand at creating your own home accents, handmade decor can add a perfect splash of individuality to a room. This handmade headboard shared by Instagram user amy_helina adds a rustic centerpiece to the bed and is truly one of a kind. Materials like reclaimed wood, vintage pieces, and reupholstered furniture all give a nod back to the rebirth of spring. Whether it’s a personal project or just a good local find, surrounding yourself with these reanimated accents will help you bring new life into your bedroom while celebrating your personal style.

REVAMP WITH NEW ACCENTS.

Looking for something new, but not yet ready for a full room overhaul? Accents and room accessories provide the perfect opportunity to spring your bedroom into the new season. Try brightening up your space with some new decorative lighting fixtures or funky throw pillows. We love how these pillow covers shared by Instagram user kbennett102 add some visual interest to her space and also incorporate the spirit of spring. Remember, your bedroom can be your ultimate space for self-expression. Bring in some fun elements that will bring a smile to your face and get you ready to dive into the season!
